FNB Shares NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

<p>I am so dissapointed with FNB shares department!</p> <p>I opened 2 x shares accounts a few years back just to try it out. After the first 48 hours I lost money and desided not to bother again. after a few months, debit orders of monthly service fees was due on these accounts (thousand just on fees) and I had to rectify it. I went to A FNB branch, rectifyed it and asked them to close it. THIS NEVER HAPPENED! The next month fees where going off my account again! for the SECOND TIME of going to a branch, I eventually got corrospondance via e-mail:</p> <p>"I acknowledge receipt of your request to close your account, in order to close your account there should not be a share holding held in the account.</p> <p> Currently there are the following shares in the account which cannot be sold as the brokerage is more than the value of the shares :</p> <p> Name of Shares<br />Quantity of Shares<br />*******<br />1<br />*******<br />4<br /> We may donate the shares to charity which will allow us to close your account.</p> <p> Please read through the following and reply with one charity of your choice to donate the shares:</p> <p> I/We hereby irrevocably appoint Georgeson Shareholder South Africa (Pty) Ltd as my/our agent to arrange to donate my ordinary shares ("shares") / cash entitlements through STRATE Charity Shares on my/our behalf, subject to the terms and conditions (attached) of the share donation scheme and confirm that I/we have read, understood and agreed the terms and conditions of the programme.</p> <p> I authorize the issuing company to transfer to STRATE Charity Shares any unclaimed cash balance (s) / any cash entitlements arising from my shareholding Please reply with a name of the selected category of charity from the following group of charities:</p> <p> * The Care of Children </p> <p>* The Care of Elderly Indigent Persons</p> <p>* The Prevention of AIDS and the Care of Afflicted Persons </p> <p>* The Provision of Educational Activities</p> <p> If we do not receive a response from your in 3 working days, we will apply the default option as to the charity of choice and your account will be closed."</p> <p> </p> <p>Ive rep****:</p> <p><br />"Hi</p> <p>Please donate my shares to "The Care of Elderly Indigent Persons" and close both accounts."</p> <p> </p> <p>This obviously NEVER HAPPENED!</p> <p> </p> <p>I recieved more notifications that the account is overdrawn (fees) and that it needs to be rectifyed.</p> <p> </p> <p>I rep**** to the previous e-mail stating my dissapointment and that I refuse to pay this because of THEIR MISTAKES!</p> <p> </p> <p>This morning I recieved a message stating that R202 has been paid from my account towards this.</p> <p>Not only that but from a different account, mu wife & I saviving acount!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>VERY, VERY DISSAPOINTED!</p> <p>FNB SHARES HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!</p> <p> </p>
