FNB share builder
I have a share builder account with FNB. I am a FNB client since 2005. Through my app, I bought shares the other day, or at least tried to. The most of the time I got a message stating: " ...has not been executed" . Then at last my request are successfull, buying shares with all the available funds in my account. The amount per share which I confirmed for my request, was R0.01. To my disgust, after the transaction went through, the full amount of shares was bought at R0.02. Affectively buying shares at a price which I did not confirm with money I dont have. And get this, the whole transaction took about 10 minutes. Then I thought to myself maybe I can just get my money back at least, selling the shares at the same price, which once again I confirmed the transaction at ( bearing in mind that share price stayed at that amount for still more than an hour if I remember correctly), the transaction took way longer than that selling the shares at the lower price. Leaving me at losing a lot of money. Today, same story, luckily I still have the shares. Then also, I am trying to sell some other shares, only to keep getting a message that "...was not excecuted". On closer investigation, I own *** amount of shares but at the same time on the same page, the one line states "....shares held: 0...." Then today, I also tried to contact them by call but half way through I was just "disconnected" for no reason, after holding for the line for very long to speak to someone....Maybe I will see a laywer when lockdown ends. Luckily I have some screen shots. I never expected service like this from FNB. Either way I am getting some money back which was lost, not by poor decision, but by bad bank.
