FNB service is appalling
I decided to go open a bank account at FNB Preller Square today. The lady at the door was friendly and welcoming and gave me a ticket and also allowed my mom and two sons to come sit with me as the branch wasnt full and there was no where else for them to sit. My ticket said that I'd be served in 21 minutes and although that was a bit long to wait to be served I just said down and waited patiently to be called. The 21 minutes turned into an hour and 15 minutes of waiting just to open a savings account. The staff kept apologizing and reassurinh me that Id be called until one staff member asked a trainee to assist me in opening the account as I was waiting too long. I was assisted by the trainee and a lady by the name of Brenda. They helped me quickly and efficiently but there efforts to make me feel welcome and at ease did not work as the long wait to be served left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. Instead of being welcomed and prioritized as I was new, I was made to feel like an inconvenience. Clients that came after me even left before me and I have to assume that they were prioritized because they are private wealth clients. FNB really needs to sort out the mess in their branches because its madness to expect people to sit for hours waiting to be served. The service is appalling!!!
