FNB service from the depths of hell

FNB does not give atrocious or horrible "customer service", they give service(or lack thereof) straight from the deepest pits of hell and Tsholofelo is THE demon in charge of my ordeal that is still ongoing(26 August 2025) even after they were made aware of my predicament on Friday 22 August 2025 already.

I left work in Strydom park on Friday 22 August at 14:30 but before departing the company premises, I checked my banking app to confirm my weekly wage had been paid which it was as is the norm

Proceeded straight to Sasol Bromhof(a nightmare for another story) where I handed the keys to the attendant with an instruction to pour R500 petrol. I entered the shop and grabbed a coke and proceeded to the counter to make payment, a grand total of R516.90

Lady proceeds to swipe my card and it DECLINES but a message is flashing across the POS but too fast for me or the lady to see at first so after repeated attempts we finally see the message reads "your bank has declined the transaction"

So I assume maybe a problem with my card and leave my vehicle at the garage and walk about a 1km to the nearest ATM which is an ABSA express to withdraw cash which also declines with no explanation, do two balance enquiries which confirms AVAILABLE balance but just not AVAILABLE to me

Walk back to the garage to explain the problem to the owner/manager while trying to resolve it and my phone battery dies

So I have to leave my vehicle at the garage and walk back to my place of work which is about 2km away to charge my phone to contact firstly "my" bank and then someone to assist me with cash so I can pay for the petrol and coke

So I contact "my" bank 13 times between 15:00 and 17:00 and either coincidentally/accidentally/intentionally every single time after giving my ID number, the consultant either can't hear me or the call just drops

Somewhere in those 13 phone calls I manage to establish that the reason for the hold is OUTSTANDING documents which makes no sense to me as I have been transacting on this account a few weeks already

My sister sends me an e wallet which I then drive to collect, escorted by one of the SASOL attendants who I do not know from a bar of soap but now forced to allow him into my personal space

Saturday morning I am off to FNB Industria where a woman named Claire Van Der Westhuizen really tried her utmost to assist AFTER another 6 calls had been dropped in my ear by either "customer care" or FNB ***** department

So Claire gives me a run down of events which reads as follows:

(1) My account had been suspended by Tsholofelo on 19 August already with no reason supp**** as to WHY and ZERO communication to me while having my phone number and e-mail address (2) I become aware of said suspension and started calling around to enquire (3) Tsholofelo then adds a note to my account @ 20:48 on 22 August indicating "unable to contact client", the very same client sitting in the branch at the time on a Saturday morning

So I inform Claire that I have an entire e-mail trail showing the "outstanding documents" were sent on 16 August @ 08:58 and I also have an e-mail confirming receipt of the documents

Claire then asks me to forward the emails and also include the "outstanding documents" which I do while sitting in the branch in Industria and Claire confirms receipt of information and also includes me in the e-mail sent to Tsholofelo almighty

Since it's a weekend I don't expect a response until Monday because I was informed repeatedly "that department does NOT work weekends"

Monday morning passes and I am greeted by silence so at 13:01 I pop off an e-mail to Claire asking for feedback and this is the response received verbatim:

"Hi Mr. Palmer

I have spoken to Tsholofelo and she is busy with your query

She asks which bank you are currently using to receive your salary as it doesn't show the bank on the payslip"

To answer Tsholofelo, the account I am using for my salary is the very same FNB account she has frozen. IF and this is a very big IF she had bothered accessing the account held with the very same organization she works for or should I say *****s a living from, she would have seen the amounts deposited match the pay slips I have now sent twice

Monday passes and still no resolution so I fall asleep hoping that Tuesday morning will bring resolution but I wake up to the same problem just a different day

So off I go to FNB Randburg located at Ferndale on Republic where I am assisted by a lovely lady named Mosa who calls Tsholofelo almighty in my presence and I can actually hear the call

And once again or should I say as usual, Tsholofelo once again asks into which account my salary is been paid and I confirm once again it's the FNB account

And I think finally Tsholofelo actually opened her laptop or just said it to get me out of the branch "I can see the deposits in the account"

She then tells Mosa I can leave the branch and the issue will be resolved by this afternoon and Tsholofelo will take time out from her busy day to call a beggar like me because I am now begging for access to my OWN money

My parting words to Mosa was I have less than ZERO confidence that Tsholofelo almighty will resolve the issue and I have been proven right because I STILL have no access to MY money

So could someone at FNB please just lift the block on my account which will allow me to transfer all my funds to my previous bank and we can be done with each other because it's obvious FNB and customer service cannot co exist

So all I want is restored functionality on my app so I can do the needed transfers and you can close the account for good

So in the interim I am still denied access to my money? And by relevant department you mean Tsholofelo who is the source of the issue and promised resolution YESTERDAY already after instructing me to leave the Randburg branch with yet another EMPTY promise

When I thought FNB couldn't trump the incompetence, they really went and outdid themselves

The only thing that reference number ***NF achieved is Tsholofelo once AGAIN asking into which account my salary is paid and as before the answer is FNB

If Tsholofelo would actually bother to look she would see exactly where the money is going

To top it off, while denying me access to MY money I receive a message from FNB informing me that my credit card is ready for collection

So could someone please make it make sense how I am blocked from my OWN money for outstanding documents which have now been submitted thrice but been referred to a branch to collect a credit card?

So the left hand does 't know what the right hand is doing
