FNB Service and Account *****
Good day,
We had a previous debit order on our business account which was ********** for a amount of R 124k on 04 May 2020. Both directors were out of country on business. We tried calling our branch to resolve this matter from abroad, with no success. We send emails to Mr Leeash Rooifontein *** which was unable to take our calls or reply on our emails. We asked our office to report the matter urgently to SAPS and to the bank which they were able to do.
I the meantime I wrote to Mr Leeash Rooifonteinthat that this action and practice by FNB allowing a debit order to go off against our account is without our approval is unacceptable. Should this happen again we would close our business account.
On 07 July 2020 an debit order went off against our account for the amount of R3800. Both directors went to our Branch. At no stage could they provide proof of the debit order being supp**** to FNB for debiting our account. FNB said that their current policy does not make any provision to confirm any debit order first with any account holder. My argument with them was, please supply documentation in this regard supp**** to them from company requesting the debit amount which led to the deduction of these amounts to our account. They could not. In the mean time we must wait 10 days for the money to be reversed and paid back to our account.
This is unacceptable. We have further learned that one of our directors personal information has been compromised. We have further established that a ***** investigation is underway regarding a syndicate using one of the directors credentials Menzi Sekhekhane. This syndicate is operating in East Lynne and has established many email addresses using our company name, Rasema Geomatics. We could also establish that our server or emails have not been hacked or compromised by hackers via our hosting IT department. These emails are ****. My only deduction is that it might have been leaked at the bank.
I am proceeding with ******** charges against FNB and there employee becuase he deals with our account, FNB could not provide any documentation regarding any proof of these requests for debit orders against our account.
Regards Francois Prinsloo Director at Rasema Geomatics
