FNB Seemingly Sets an Impossible Insurance Condition
On 31 July, two men used my FNB bank cards while they held me at gunpoint. FNB urged me to reclaim the lost monies through an insurance they provided (***).
They then sent me a condition. I should supply the 'initial reported affidavit' from police. But it appears to me that this is not possible. It should lie in docket Sea Point CAS 13/8/2018, investigator Sgt. Botha.
This morning therefore I sent FNB a Promotion of Access to Information (PAIA) request: how many insurance claims do they refuse on this basis? Is this an extraordinary problem in my case, or is there a pattern of refusals on this basis?
In short, if I am insured, it seems to be under impossible conditions. May it be a ruse? Would the bank kindly respond to me personally: **********
