FNB SCRATCH AND DENT A ****

A few months ago FNB called me to offer the FNB First Bodyline Scratch and Dent Insurance. I was told existing dents/scratches are coveed under the policy with a limit of R 3000 per claim. After telling the advisor I had two dents on my vehicle I was told that's fine however claims MUST BE PROCESSED SEPERATELY FOR EACH DENT. Three months later I submitted a claim for ONE of the dents. I was then told by the consultant to submit the claim for BOTH dents plus any other scratches which I did. Today they have come back that the claim has been rejected as the quotation for repairs is R 9000. Naturally the quote to fix every dent and scratch has exceeded the R 3000 limit. I was then told I cannot re-submit the claim for only one of the issues as that is selective claiming and against the policy. This is completely against what was sold to me on the phone (The recordings can easily prove this) and I would like to have all my contributions refunded as this POLICY A ****

Reviewer Update

Following this complaint and the way it was handled, I was extremely unhappy with the service of FNB First Bodyline Scratch and Dent Insurance and in February 2020 I cancelled my service. I am now on the third month of the debit order going through despite cancellation. This is unacceptable !

I have emails from Motovantage promising the refund of March and April yet my May debit order has now gone through with n refund received.

I Honestly highly highly recommend the public do not make use of this policy - firstly your claims get rejected, secondly you can't get them to stop debiting your account
