FNB ******* Sale of Personal Information

I live in Plett and drove to George to buy a few things amongst them a tv wall mountings at a brand new shop Timu Market. I have never seen or heard of them before and the cashier was a Chinese gentleman who couldn't speak English at all. I found the mounting bracket and proceeded to the cashier, he rang it up and I tapped my fnb debit card and left. So my only interaction ,in my entire life was tapping my debit card. So here's the scary part, the next day at around 1pm, I receive a whatsapp from a personal number that's called Timu Market and it has fourpictures of the four different tv mountings the have that they are advertising to me. I was horrified, and seeing as our only interaction was tapping my card and also knowing that the POS owner does not receive any personal details on their side, only the obscured card number and nothing telling about the customers personal details. So that leaves FNB. This is unsettling and I now have no idea what details they all have, cause when I responded to the whatsapp, the response was, "I'm a worker". *** is going on. This is a gross breach of the POPIA ACT. This is unbelievable and thr only reason I picked up on this, was because I knew I had never been to this place, but now I checked and I am bombarded with this advertising, but by companies I use often, thus not knowing specifically who was target marketing me, but I am of the opinion that FNB is selling our information to companies at our expense and for their gain and its happening with everything. Who can we trust anymore???
