FNB's "Pay and clear now" option is utter nonsense!!!

This morning i made a payment via my internet banking and chose the option to have the payment cleared immediately, whereby there was a cost of R42. That was at 9am this morning, it is now 12.30 and no payment has reflected in the recievers account. I called FNB (after trying to explain my simple issue to 4 consultants) and was told they needed to contact SMART LOCK to have it processed. WHAT NONSENSE! What was the R42 charge for? My understanding of the "pay and clear now" option was that it would have done exactly that, however now people would need to contact FNB and put a request to SMART LOCK to have this processed!!!! This is unacceptable FNB!! People please be aware when using this option!
