FNB ruininng lives for less than R1,000.00. How can we list you

A few years back, due to unforseen circumstances, I lost my job and had no form of income. I then informed the bank and asked for my account to be closed in 2014.

I then received a new job now recently and decided to open an account with the same bank. The account was opened successfully with no issues. I needed to get a car to commute to work however I kept on getting declined until I spoke to an individual at Westbank and I was informed I had been flagged by FNB.

No one advised me of this, I received no communication that this would be the case and now I cant get any credit facility due to outstanding maintenance fees.

The 1st time I visited the branch, I was advised that I need to make a cash deposit into a specific account and this could only be done via this method. PS. This was on a Saturday.

2nd time I visited the branch, the manager advised that the credit department dealing with this queries have already closed and I need to come back. PS. Another Saturday.

3rd time I went in earlier, waited in line once again, and now I am advised that the credit department only works weekdays and when I asked why wasn't I told this before I got no answer.

So now how does one get rid of this unnecessary listing as the amount is less R1000 and according to a consultant, FNB was listing people for amounts less than R1000 during that year however it is no longer the case.

Absolutely pathetic, during these uncertain times I cant even get finance to purchase a vehicle to use for work because of maintenance fees. I was never informed of this and now when I want to remedy the situation, it seems impossible.

FNB is a big let down, i am even starting to wonder why I opened a new account with them.

THEY SHOULD MAKE A NEW ADVERT TO REFLECT THE TITLE
