FNB rob their clients

I've banked with FNB since I opened my first account at 15 years old. I've put up with poor service, inexplicable debit orders and credit recycling on their credit cards. I have a credit card, cheque account, 2 personal loans and have paid my last installment on my vehicle loan from Wesbank last month - but today I've had enough.

My wife received her December bonus, which she transferred to my account. As soon as the money reflected, R3500 in debits went off my account (the debit dates that I SIGNED for when I took the loans with them were both scheduled for the 1st of every month - a date I have yet to miss). I was not informed about the early debits, nor was a given an opportunity to tell FNB that the money was going to be used to buy my son Christmas presents and pay for the scan of our second child on the way. I am not getting paid early this month and without this money, I cannot afford to make it through the month, let alone give my 3 year old son a Christmas.

Their online banking says I can't query the debits online - shocker that FNB don't allow you to ask why they've ****** money from your account on their own portal.

FNB don't give a flying f**k about their clients. I don't care if the CEO of FNB phones me to apologize, I will be changing banks after the festive season and I will recommend to anyone that lends an ear to do the same. Don't sign up with FNB if you are contemplating it. Don't take a loan (their repayment terms keep you permanently indebted to them). Don't even walk past their physical branches, I'm sure they'll mug you if you aren't a client, just to make a quick buck.

Honestly, f**k FNB.
