FNB *********** CUSTOMERS, LYING TO CUSTOMERS
I have been an FNB customer going 30 years, I trusted FNB to look after ME, I trusted them to do the right thing and take care of my best interests. What FNB have done is duped their customers.... they have ******* their customers into a false sense of security, as have WESBANK... They have **** and mislead their customers and I am so angry. I app**** for a payment holiday to Wesbank when we all went into lockdown. Wesbank still went and deducted money from my interest account on my Wesbank account for the instalment and I complained about that. They then reversed the amount and said the payment holiday would now be in place. I later find out that FNB and Westbank have been LYING to me, as my Covid Relief cashflow account was used for WESTBANK instalments. Which I was not aware of for the three month period.... This only came to my attention on Friday. We were not able to access the Covid account on the FNB app and when I asked about that I was told that it wasn't enabled. So, I didn't even know what was going on with the account. When i asked to close the account as I no longer felt I needed it, only then did I see the huge debit on the account... So I inquired what that was all about??? Only then to discover, WESBANK ****. FNB ****. They basically took money from the loan account, which defeats the purpose of a PAYMENT HOLIDAY. When you look up the term, PAYMENT HOLIDAY, that is exactly what it means.... What makes this more sinister is that other NON FNB CUSTOMERS who app**** for their WESBANK payment holidays, actually did receive their payment holidays.... Even with their bonds, but FNB have basically *****ed their FNB-WESTBANK clients and just ignored all requests for payment holidays and used Covid relief accounts to deduct instalments. I know this as my brother banks with Standard bank, his bond payment holiday was granted, via Standard bank where the bond is.... and Standard bank extended his payment holiday, THEY KNOW WHAT PAYMENT HOLIDAY MEANS.... as was his WESBANK account where is car is financed... Funny, Wesbank honoured his payment HOLIDAY but not mine???? Now, HE NEVER HAD INSTALLMENTS COMING OFF ANYWHERE FOR THREE MONTHS, AND NOW DOESNT HAVE INSTALLMENTS AT ALL FOR ANOTHER 3 MONTHS. That is the meaning of a PAYMENT HOLIDAY!!! But FNB AND WESBANK DID NOT HONOR MY REQUEST AND DECIDED TO JUST DEDUCT WESTBANK INSTALLMENTS FROM MY COVID 'CASHFLOW" ACCOUNT. Which I was told would be used for banking fees, interest fees etc... NO WHERE DOES IT MENTION WESBANK????? And had I known a "cashflow" relief loan from FNB would be used for Wesbank, I wouldn't have app**** in the first place. FNB took advantage of people, of their customers at their worst!! At their most vulnerable. Now I find myself in a worse situation than before. Whats more, when i asked Westbank for another three month payment holiday, FNB offered me a bigger loan amount??? WHAT PLANET DO YOU COME FROM FNB?? I app**** for my payment holiday via the Westbank portal. I received communication back from Westbank. But FNB have just gone and done what they like and blatantly just ignored customers requests.... had I NOT been an FNB customer, my payment holiday would have been honoured, like other NON FNB customers and I wouldn't be in MORE DEBT than when I started.
