FNB RETRACTS HOME LOAN

I have been banking with FNB by entire life, naturally FNB was our bank of choice when applying for a bond, however we could not have been more wrong. We app**** to FNB for a small home loan on an apartment which we had already paid for in cash. The objective of the loan was for us to make funds available. We went through all the motions and piles of paperwork, jumped through hurdles and it was APPROVED, prior to Covid-19 lock down. Today we received communication that FNB is retracting the approval of our home loan? To note we had met all criteria set out by them as requested? It is a true reflection on their customer service or lack thereof. While other banks are jumping through hurdles to help their customers in this time of crisis it seems FNB is taking a self preservation stance and thinking of themselves. We are both, (my partner and I) private banking customers with FNB, we hold all our accounts, private and business and we will seriously consider moving them when time allows to an institution that is indeed customer focussed. FNB.... we are seriously disappointed by your actions and self serving nature in this time of consumer need. To close off... we are not the only ones experiencing this as they are now cancelling many bonds that people have counted on. FNB... how can we NOT help you.
