FNB refuse to close my settled Credit Card acc

FNB refuse to close my settled Credit Card acc so that they can keep charging me fees and interest.<br> I have settled my account and I went to their PTA North branch on 5th March to close my credit card account and they confirmed the settlement and faxed the notice to close the account to their credit card department and gave me a copy of the fax receipt. Still their Credit Card department wont close my acc they keep it open to charge me fees and interest. I have emailed them and tried to follow up to no avail. Pity moving banks is a slow process but I am MOVING. It's absolute nonsense that I have to be at their mercy and keep begging them to close an account that is settled when they are obviously only keeping it active to charge me fees and interest.
