FNB REAP OFF

So I made a mistake on the 30th of January in the evening by depositing money into my 32 days notice account instead of my savings pocket account. I realized this the next day (31st Jan) in the evening and immediately tried to swap it back but by then the 32 day notice account was telling me I had to pay a penalty fee of R175. I immediately tried calling FNB but they couldn’t answer because their office times were closed. I then contacted RB Jacobs on Twitter and he gave me a direct line for investment, it was also closed when I phoned. So I had to phone this morning (1st of Feb) and spoke to a consultant and he told me 48 hours had past so I had to pay the fee. I told him no 48hours hadn’t passed because I made the deposit at 20:20 on the 30th of Jan and first made contact with an a FNB representative (RB Jacobs on Twitter) within 24hrs. Besides that the 48hrs will only be tonight! The consultant just ignored me and said I have to pay. Now that I’ve moved the money to my savings pocket I have been charged R175 indeed, what a reap off!!! These are all the things that make me want to leave FNB. After several years with them I have my salary coming to them and have several different products with them including my home loan this is how they treat their loyal customers. I’m so disgusted and angry. I can’t stay with a bank like this.
