FNB, really let me down...enemies of progress perhaps

<p>I app**** for a student loan at my bank, FNB...everything was swell, up until the loan, which was already pre approved suddenly got cancelled. I enquired, only to be told it's because i have not registered at the school. Which of course defeats the purpose of me even asking for a loan. Upon following up, the gentleman from Loans tried to reapply from his side. He asked me if i was permanent, i told him No, iam self employed. I told him i have been operating as a ISP. To which he rep**** that he can nolonger continue with the application if i'm not permanent. So i asked him, how FNB gave me a home loan of just over half a million as an ISP yet they cannot help fund studies for significantly less? He said, those are just the rules. I went back to the branch where my application was pre approved. The consultant said, if i work as an ISP, all the guy needed to ask for was an IT34...My question, which is a real concern for me as a client, id why people working for the same bank could give me two completely different answers. It only takes one person who is misinformed to ruin a client day and perhaps year. Now, i'm going to find a student loan from another back. I just thought i should vent. So corporates like FNB, are willing to commit you to debt over 20 years, but can't help me furthr my studies. That's all i came to say. </p>
