FNB Really Dropping The Ball
Firstly despite paying EVERYTHING that I owed on my life insurance, a couple of days later I received an sms stating that my Life Insurance has been lapsed due to "Non Payment". I have followed it up first for a few days then a week or 2 later and now just over a month later and they keep blaming the "it" department for my policy not being able to be reinstated. They keep saying the policy is with the underwriters. Now m question remains and remains unanswered that why do I need a new policy if they canceled my existing policy for no reason. I do not want a new policy, I want my old policy back!!! I phoned them again today and once again and once again they tell me "They will send an email to "escalate" the matter to the IT department" however they still can not say to me when the policy would be reinstated. And until then I am not covered. So should something happen to me then my beneficeries get nothing despite my months of already paying and my payments that were up to date. This is TOTALY UNACCEPTABLE. I am scared with what is going to happen the day when my beneficieries have to claim. Then they will also have to wait weeks before they are able to claim, maybe even months and the whole reason for this policy is to help my beneficiaries to be debt free after my funeral. It took seconds to cancel my policy (without the right authorization), do you want to tell me it takes months to reinstate it?
Then a second problem that I am having with FNB, I have a hospitalization policy with FNB. I received an email address from a consultant to where I must send all the documentation to. Once I was discharged I waited to get the hospital account and as soon as I received it, then I mailed everything including the completed documentation as I received from FNB to the addess provided. I then received an email statng to say that this is theincorrect email address and they will forward my mail to the correct depart, ment, Apparently when they did that, they did not attach the attachments again so the correct department was unable to do anything with the mail. I now phoned this morning, a week later to follow up the status of the claim, then the person that received the mail, informs me that there were no attachments to the mail so he could do nothing to the mail. And he did not bother even to send me an email sayin, listen idiot there are no attachements to the email, can you please send it onto me? No, he just leaves it and carries on with his day.
I have now resent EVERYTHING to the email that he gave me and received a referance number of: *** - [External Email] - FNBREF#*** Now he says I must wait another week to see if this gets done properly this time and if I have to resend everythngfor a third time.
I am REALY unhappy with this service that I have / am receiving from FNB.I have never received anything butgood service from FNB, however this service I am gettingis making me look twice at my FNB account and the future there of.
I have been for less than half the time with ABSA as well where I pay the R2000 from the complex where I stay in for petty cash and they already gave mea R6000 overdraft that FNB does not even want to look out,
No FNB realy dissapointing, I am realy upset ansadend by the service you are curently providing me regarding the above services. Even ading to the above issues I have received an sms to say that my "Law On Call" policy's debit order was "BLOCKED" an hence the debit order did not go throuh. When I phoned the, thy wanted to put the blame on me stating that I canceled the debit order. I do not even know how to do it never mind wanting to do that as I now and again use this service for small legal matters I have in my life.
Please can we sort this above matters out as soon as possible and not by sending "Escalatng" emails as by now I know those type of mails fall on deaf ears and helps nothing.
