FNB raises an issue then proceeds to not identify the issue.
Recently had an issue with FNB where I was trying to apply for home finance. The lady from a company that was helping me secure financing was in talks with a FNB representative. The FNB representative mentioned that there are three outstanding payments on my credit profile resulting in them not being able to assist. When I contacted the FNB representative after the finance-securing lady asked me to, to try and find out what these were for, the person ignored my email and contacted the lady mentioning to her that they don't deal directly with clients and advised that I instead go to a branch. At the branch, they were not able to locate any of these owing amounts and there was no record of any of them. I was then given call-centre contact numbers to hopefully get assistance and after calling all the numbers, being transferred from department to department, over multiple days, everyone I spoke to could not see these amounts on my profile. I went back to the branch and they still weren't able to assist. TransUnion also does not have a record of these owing amounts and my credit does not reflect anything negative.
I got to a point where I was ready to make these payments just to obtain the settlement letters they were asking for but they seemingly weren't able to know where these amounts were owed. I am worried now that this will be an issue in other aspects and there does not seem to be a way forward.
