FNB R2000 promise that never paid out
FNB Promised R2000 if I opened a FNB Gold account 4 Dec. I received a SMS from FNB: “Reply “YES” to open a FNB account and receive R2000 to help you manage your move. 19 Dec. I’ve received a SMS stating, “Congratulations on opening your new FNB Gold cheque account” FNB contacted me to open a new bank account with the promise to receive R2000. The benefits were better than the current business account I had with FNB, and it was cheaper. I opened the account and waited for the R2000. I did not close my business account, because it was a “move” and obviously, I did not use my business account any more. My e-bucks ACCOUNT was never activated and according to my FNB app I “(I could have earned R1196.30 or eB11 963) since the day I opened that account. Then on February the 20th, 21st, 24th and the 25th I received a lot of SMSse from Fnb saying my business account is in arrears. Today, 28th May I received a call from some attorneys wanting the money I owe FNB that is now something just over R1000. If FNB didn’t promised me R2000 (I NEVER received that money at all, even after asking the bank and emailing them regarding that) I would never made the “move”. I fell for their R2000 promised and got myself in trouble because of that!
Nothing about the bucks to the fact they didn't tell me back in December. They also didn't respond to the fact that I owe them over R1000 that was handed over.
