FNB protecting the ********l and not their loyal customer

On the 13th and 14th June 2017 ********** transactions occurred on both my credit and cheque cards, we received notification on the FNB phone app, we reacted and contacted the ***** department and reported the transactions, we also stated that we did receive a notification on our cell phone that our number had been ported out, therefore it was impossible for me to receive an OTP pin to know about the transactions taking place.

The notification which we received was also during the early hours of the morning, no person can react immediately if they are asleep.

I have been in contact with FNB regarding the refund, however, they have completely distanced themselves from the matter and refuse to refund me the funds which occurred on my account.

I feel that this is unfair practise on FNB’s part as I am a loyal customer and have been so for many years. The reasoning behind not refunding me is unacceptable.

FNB is supposed to protect their loyal customers, like myself against *********, how can I be held responsible for the ********** transactions, if the cards were in my possession, and my mobile number had been ported out *******ly a few hours before the transactions started and I did not received a OTP pin.

I feel that FNB must refund me in full for all ********** transactions which occurred on my accounts.

So now I ask the question , is my money safe with FNB, did I read FNB terms and conditions? because if you did not, they will not protect you as a loyal customer, they will rather protect the ********. Is anybody’s money safe?
