FNB Profiting from Covid 19 Relief Loans
After my initial complaint which took approximately 6 months, a hello peter complaint, and the involvement of the banking ombudsman to resolve, FNB is at it again. They are overcharging me on interest for a covid 19 relief loan that was meant to "help" their customers through a difficult period caused by this pandemic. But their primary goal seems to be profiting from people who they believe don't know any better. After reviewing my transactional history on the loan I noticed that each month they charge me between R8 and R10 more on my accumulated interest than they are supposed to. After calling them more than 30 times, being transferred from department to department, having the call cut numerous time by FNB employees, being told that the covid 19 relief loan team does not have a contact number, and being promised callbacks by employees and managers that never happen, I have had enough. I will be escalating this to the ombud because of exploiting people's unfortunate situations.
