FNB Procedures Manipulative

On applying for a debt consolidation loan with FNB I was asked if I would like to apply for CPP life cover for a loan.

During the questioning of the application it became apparent cannot cede my policy because it does not cover disability and would be forced to take the CPP which comes at a rather high price monthly.

During the questioning I am asked a manipulative question, rhe question being "Does the CCP cover my needs?" When I answered no I was told then we cannot continue the application.

My reason for answering no is that this is a manipulative and incorrect question, the CCP qualifies FNB's needs and not my own, do not imply rhat such a things meets my needs and force to incorrectly answer no for your needs. The CCP meets FNB's needs not my own, firstly in the application no price for the CCP is given, no further information is given nor am I able to expand upon it to meet my needs.

FNB do not think people are stupid and malleable enough to force answers that are blatantly dishonest and rely on an individual not understanding it.

Business practices such as this are despicable.

Good Day,

So a few things after discussing the matter with a consultant.

I chose the "Switch credit" option which to anyone that understands the term switch means my credit card at Discovery will be settled and canceled and my credit moved to FNB but instead I find out that all they are doing is settling and canceling it, I now have to cancel my application for the simple reason that FNB cannot make a change to this consolidation option, personally this is *******.

I wanted to change my loan amount jow and I am told that canceling it could result in me not being able to apply for the same sort of loan afterwards.

So I sit with the problem where I need to change my application from consolidation to just a personal loan because the FNB wording and manner in which the loan is configured means that when I thought I would simply be moving my credit card it actually means I won't have one at all.

FNB's wording and information given in all this has been proven to be misleading and manipulative and seriously needs to be adjusted and thanks to this now I will have a negative mark kn credit score as a result of their poorly worded application.

So thank you FNB, I will be looking at moving banks as a result of this.

Good Day,

I would greatly appreciate if this could be resolved without affecting my credit record and not having to move banks.

Is that even possible?
