FNB Private Client poor treatment
I am referring to my last letter regarding an account of mine at FNB, a cheque overdraft.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I lost my job, even though I paid a monthly fee for insurance to cover this FNB still found an excuse not to pay the premiums at the time I was unemployed.
During the past year I paid premiums as follows: 12 March: 6000 ZAR - 12 February: 4000 ZAR - 11 January: 2000 ZAR - 12 December: 2000 ZAR - 12 November: 1000 ZAR - 18 October: 1000 ZAR - 10 September: 1000 ZAR - 8 August: 1000 ZAR - 10 July: 1000 ZAR - 13 June: 1000 ZAR - 25 June: 1000 ZAR - 30 April: 5000 ZAR
Then I complained at hello Peter and FNB sent Cherelle Smith to answer my emails, after I gave her the payment dates to check, I heard no word further from FNB, until I heard from their hound dog attorneys: *** telling me the following:
"Our client has already escalated your account through handover, which may lead to additional charges and negative implications on your financial standing. Addressing this overdue balance within 72 hours is the only way to avoid further consequences."
Outstanding on this account is less than R1000-00. I honestly do not understand this behavior and bad treatment of FNB towards private Clients. Ms. Smith even indicated as soon as the last premium is paid close the account. Glad to know FNB hates private clients and honestly this will just fit in with my wishes as I have received very poor treatment from FNB since my private banker left the company and I have received NO private client communications and help, even though I have to pay the monthly fees for private clients.
Please help me to resolve the issue, as it seems talking to FNB is like talking to one of these AI-bots.
Thanking you
