FNB Private Banking BS
To retain me as a client I was told I must move to private clients. Service will be spectacular and I will have a dedicated banker for all my needs. My fees went from about R200 to over R500 per month.
My first dedicated banker was absolutely useless. Perfect to forward me spam emails and some PDF’s but nothing more. Couldn’t even help me set up a virtual card. I wanted to change my account due to the lack of value sold to me but I was told they’ll change my dedicated banker.
The new one sent an intro email and that was that. Vanished into thin air. Finally needed her services some months later and my email gets forwarded to someone else who subsequently took over but never bothered to let me know. Taking into account neither did the the other one.
I now have a simple request to find a specific value transaction but I get sent to online banking. So what exactly am I paying for then??? If I had the cheapest account possible I can go online, so why do I need all this so called “value” that sends me elsewhere to do it myself and me requesting feedback ??
Just a rip-off. That’s all. Zero value.
I’m getting the same pathetic service with the black card VS the silver and paying an extra R4000 per annum more.
I am so tired of this pathetic service.
Here I find myself requesting my accounts to be downgraded as the premium does not warrant the service and so called PRIVATE BANKING.
If the Premium was based on service is would be R0 as it’s so pathetic.
To date I am still waiting for the downgrade after no replies, excuses, oh you must take a phone call first and then wait for a quote that never comes.
My next step is cancelling all together and going to an institution that actually wants my business and doesn’t charge and arm and a leg for nothing!
