FNB Private Banking and Credit Card APPALLING Service!!!!!!!!DO NOT APPLY FOR THE PRIVATE BANKING
I went to Eastgate branch to apply for R160k credit and the consultant advised that I can take a Personal Loan of R100k and Credit Card of R60k and explained none of the facilities individually provide R160k so we proceeded with the application. A few days after I was told that both applications were approved. Two weeks later with constant follow up from myside I was told the Debi check for the credit card was cancelled internally by mistake and the Personal loan was approved and paid. Please note that I was also offered a private bank account (appalling service). Constantly following up with the private banker and the branch to be told the credit card was declined due to the debi check that was cancelled. WOW! Then the private banker proposed that she will recapture because it was a mistake made internally, not from my side. Then a week later I get told the application has cancelled because I can't apply for two products (Perplexed because the private banker keeps saying that the application shouldn't be a problem as I app**** and got approval for both the credit card and personal loan as the application was done on the same day, the error was made internally.) Over three weeks now, The private banker advises that she can apply for the RCP facility which won't be a problem and guess what.... after a few days she advises that its declining. Now What makes me furious is I went into the bank asking for R160k as I had a business deal WHICH I LOST DUE TO PEOPLE'S INCOMPETENCE AND THE NERVE OF ME HAVING TO CONSTANTLY FOLLOW UP, Now I have a personal loan of R100k that I don't even know what to do with as I can't go to another financial institution and apply for credit (I need to wait 6 months). My score is very healthy and can afford the repayment so I don't know what nonsense this is. Goodness!!!!!! FNB has really disappointed me, Despite escalating to higher managers not even one bothered to call and explain or provide a solution considering the mistake was on their side. I am LIVID!
