FNB Private Bankers should work in the Post Office
I've been through 2 private Bankers in 2 weeks. The first guy was simply *********** -didnt know his job. The second guy Kudzi Gwatidzo was somewhat efficient but RUDE, ARROGANT, ARGUMENTATIVE, SLAMMED THE PHONE DOWN ON ME WHEN CHALLENGED. The context follows. Homeloans charged me the wrong interest rate ie: 1% more than they should have. His reason was that the letter of amendment was signed by me and therefore FNB does not take responsibility. I said to him that attorneys only told me that additional clause was added section 2.13. I told him that it was FNB's responsibility to make it clear that the rate had changed in the amendment due to cost of credit. I was not informed. If I had not picked this up I would paid additional R100's of thousands of rands over the next 20 years. His response to this was 'it was my responsibility to review the letter of amendment'. Why would I check the rate if my bond was already approved at a specific discount. Why would I expect this to change? Surely FNB should have explicitly pointed this. How would you feel if the price suddenly changed in a 12 page letter from the bank where the only thing that was meant to change was section 2.13 (attached).
