FNB - Private account benefits are misleading.

I have been an FNB account holder since 2002. I was offered an upgrade to a Private banking account and was told that upgarding to and paying a higher monthly fee for a private account would ensure an array of benefits such as earning ebucks and using the SLOW lounges for free.

FNB failed to ensure that I was properly informed of the change in qualifying criteria for use of the SLOw lounge which was that I need to have the FNB app installed on my phone. (this is a restrictive rule since I prefer to use my internet banking anyway) When I was finally aware of this, my FNB device had broken and the poor service I received from their device insure division ensured that I could not install the app in time for me to qualify for my free slow lounge visits.

It is unfair that I am not entitiled to the benefits I was promised and that I pay for on a monthly basis because FNB failed to ensure that I was properly informed and that FNB also took so long to get the device bck to me which they knew I would require in order to adhere to their stringent and ridiculous rules.

I will be closing my bank account of 15 years if this is not adressed.
