FNB Premier Banking is a *****

I opened a FNB premier bank account in the beginning of the year. When I opened the account I was assured that I could have the interest rate on my new FNB credit card adjusted AFTER the account was opened.

On the 30th or there about of January 2017 I called the FNB premier team and asked them to have the credit card interest rate adjusted to my other credit card interest rate, so I could close the old one from another bank. My intention is to move all my banking services to FNB.

On the 3rd of February 2017 I called the premier team again to enquire what was going on. I was informed the Gloria was dealing with it and she would call me back on Saturday or Monday.

On Monday the 6th of February someone at the premier banking team must have sent an email to someone else because I received an email from fnbcard on Tuesday the 7th of February 2017. On Wednesday the 8th of February I received and email saying that they would not adjust the interest rate.

On Wednesday 8th of February I decided to call the arrogant people at FNB card division and ended up speaking to a wonderful lady called Alice. She said she understood that I wanted the same rate as the other bank and that I simply had to send them proof of the interest rate at the other bank and they would sort it out.

I then drafted an email to them and ask them to relook at the interest rate. The reply was for me to send them a copy of the statement from the other bank. I sent this same statement 6 or 7 times and got no reply. When I enquired they said they didn't receive it.

I sent the statement again and got an acknowledgement of receipt on the 9th of Feburary 2017. On the 10th of February 2017, 11:30 I received an email saying they are sending the request to have the interest rate reviewed and would let me know. 15 minutes later, they told me that they would not be reducing my interest rate.

This mission started in the end of January and took till the 10th of Feb to tell me to get lost. Throughout this whole process I didn’t get a call from FNB premier team. Afterwards a few days later, I was contacted about the service and I rated it as bad. Someone then called from FNB asking what the problem was and I explain to him that the service I received was terrible. He said he would get back to me, but didn’t.

On the 22 of February I sent an email to FNB Premier asking them to contact me about this whole situation and haven’t heard from them either.

FNB PREMIER BANKING ADS ARE A ****. They say they are there for you and will assist you, but words are cheap.

The really sad thing is that I want to stay with FNB. But I can't endure this treatment.

I sent you an email and you didn't reply. Should I rather log another complaint?

I just spoke to Memory from FNB Card Division and she sorted everything out. She is a super star who didn't stop at the first hurdle. She should be thanked by her managers for keeping a client.
