FNB poor technical help

At the end of May I had to change my cellphone contact number and you would think this quite a simple process, well think again. I first of all called online banking to get my notifications changed. This worked except that my contact number in my profile still reflected my old number so I called to get my OTP changed except that for this you need to go to the ATM. This I did except when I went through to the more settings and selected change OTP contact I get a message indicating that my profile was inactive.... HUH! so I duly called back to explain this, after discussion with the operator I was told it would be fixed. Days later I tried to make an online purchase but lo and behold no OTP to my new number! I called again and after a while with the agent I was told that there was a problem on their side and it would need to be escalated, after a little while I was informed to actually go into a branch to have the problem resolved. So last Saturday I went into Canal Walk branch sat with a consultant and after a few minutes tinkering she said that she couldn't fix it and called the online banking number which I could have done from home. I asked her why I was asked to come into the branch when I could have called online banking myself from home to which she rep**** for the reason that she could call on my behalf... another bigger HUH! At this point I started to become agitated and she called another lady who could not assist so they spoke with the team leader and he duly called the online banking number, at this point I must have been in the bank over an hour. After a while the team leader came to me asking for my new number after which he went away and gave the new number to the person on the other end. Shortly after they asked me to go to the ATM with the consultant to try and change the OTP there, still no luck as the profile inactive message persisted. Back to online banking and after another while the team leader came to me to indicate that the problem has been escalated and the number would be changed within 24 hours, happy days. I logged into online banking ans saw that my new number reflected in my profile, so I tried to make an online purchase but sadly no OTP notification. I called online banking back on Monday to confirm the problem of no OTP notification persists, We went through a few things then she asked me to restart my phone which I had done on Saturday, once restarted she asked me to log into online banking then go to the profile settings and click on change Username and Password and from this I got a notification and now seemingly thinking the problem was fixed by a simple restart of the phone I thanked her and ended the call. It is with much anger and dissatisfaction to see that when trying an online purchase tonight I still do not get the OTP notification to my phone but if I click the change username and password I get that notification. FNB can it seriously be this difficult to change a simple contact number? After almost a month I guess not.
