FNB - POOR SERVICE, JUST LIKE THE OTHER BANKS
My credit card was de*****ed by **** on Saturday, 03/03/18. I report this incident to FNB's 24 hour contact center , on the same day approximately 6 hours later. The call agent advised me to get an affidavit and a case number if possible and send all of the applicable documents and information to ********** I could not get the affidavit because I needed a stamped bank statement first. I got the bank statement and the affidavit on Monday 05/03/2018, but had to wait for a case number. I sent everything to ********** on Monday 05/03/2018 at around noon, indicating I am waiting for my case number. I received an automatic response indicating ********** should be CCéd in all ***** reports. I forwarded the email to both ********** and ********** with the information needed indicated in the automatic response. the automatic response email indicated I would be contacted within 48 hours. On Wednesday 07/03/2018 afternoon after 48 hours, I had still received no response and sent a follow up email, indicating I am still waiting for my case number. A week later, Monday 12/03/2018, with no response I sent another follow up email with my case number and I am still waiting for any response from FNB other than an automatic response. This was my first review on Tuesday 13/03/18. Approximately 10 minutes later I received an e-mail, with a reference number ********** NF, from FNB. 10 minutes later a gentleman from the complaints department phoned me stating the complaint was logged incorrectly in that it was logged to the incorrect department. He stated he would forward the complaint to the Online Banking department. Within the next hour a lady from the online department phoned me and said it was sent to the incorrect department it must go back to the Credit Card ***** department. On Thursday 15/03/18 I had yet to hear anything from FNB, I followed up with the lady from the Online Banking department and she stated she would send a follow-up email. I have STILL NOT HEARD from the Credit Card ***** department. After the initial complaint logged on Hello Peter I did receive a response, promising that the matter was being attended to, but I have heard nothing from FNB since then. How does one go about reporting this matter to Consumer Protection?
