FNB Poor Service
Where to begin.
I have been a private clients client and very recently upgraded to private wealth. Firstly, regarding the metal card, on their website it says you would receive a rebate if you're ebucks level 3 or higher but when you want to apply for the card on the app it says level 4 or higher, I took screenshots so have proof.
Secondly, the "private" banker is useless and you're paying extra money a month for no benefit at all. I would not recommend their private suite at all. Their secure chat via the app is equally as useless.
Now comes the fun part, I decided I will be downgrading my account and ending all additional products I have with them. Managed to get help to close my life cover, global account (I assume, I still have to wait 7 business days to see if it's actually closed), savings pocket and 32 day fixed deposit. But I cannot close or get any help to close my other products, individual investment account, share saver and tax free savings account. No option to self help and close it on the app or web. Chatted to maybe 3/4 people via secure chat and was told to call the service center, got two different numbers from two different agents. Phoned the one number and it's just an endless redirecting of your call with the same automated message saying you can use secure chat. Phoned the second number and got through to someone that said they can't help me and redirected to a different department where I've been on hold for over 10 minutes and I just put down the call.
Poor service, and poor "benefits" (private banker and don't get me started on the hoops you need to jump through for ebucks) is what you get from FNB.
The only good thing is the app but good luck to you if you need help with something the app doesn't provide. The app developers seem to be the only competent people there.
What a truly s*** bank and customer service
