FNB Poor Service by Takealot

Hi there,

I recently app**** for a credit card with FNB and the process was rather seamless and got a notification in days to say that all is well and I will get notice soon from Takealot regarding delivery.

As such, I get an SMS on Thursday 19th to say the card will be delivered between 9am - 5pm. 5pm comes and goes, without any delivery. I call and was then advised that Takealot doesn't know where the card is as it hasn't reached their branch in Milnerton - I get an apology and am reassured it will be delivered the next day.

Friday the 20th passes by and still no delivery nor notification from Takealot - I call again requesting feedback and all I am told, besides feeble apologies, that the card has still not been delivered.

Monday the 22nd passes and I hear nothing from Takealot, today, Tuesday the 23rd passes and also no notification from Takealot - at this point I am justifiably upset, frustrated and disappointed at the pathetic level of service provided by this "delivery" service as nothing has been delivered.

I call Takealot after 5pm requesting feedback and I am told that the card was damaged and they requested a replacement - none of this communicated to me the customer, no SMS, call, nor email. The agent on the phone could not say how, where, or when the card was damaged - she could only confirm that I will be contacted about the delivery date i.e. the same notification SMS I got on the 19th.

Then during me requesting some sort of guarantee and asking what happens to me as the customer who had to go through this back and forth - she keeps repeating that they ordered a new card, but no accountability is taken for any of it. While we are discussing this the line drops and I don't get a call back, and I cannot even call back as the lines lose at 6.

This whole thing is a mess and I would strongly suggest FNB contract a more reliable and effective "delivery" service.
