FNB PayPal System Flawed

FNB has a PayPal feature where you can withdraw your PayPal funds via FNB, even if you don't have an FNB account. That's incorrect.

I tried to register online now so that I can withdraw my PayPal funds, only to receive an error that my ID already exists. When I contacted the call centre, I was advised that the system sees me as already existing because I have a home loan via FNB. The only solution to this is to open an FNB Bank account, follow the FICA process and only then get an online banking profile to withdraw my funds. When I mentioned to the agent Bafana that this is ridiculous, he said unfortunately that is how the system works and there is no workaround.

How can the system block a non-FNB customer because of a joint home loan they have with someone else? Now I'm forced to open a bank account that I don't need or want?

WOW.

Still advised that I can only override this by opening a bank account. More so than ever, now I really don't want to be forced into opening an account because of poor system design. Innovative bank? NOPE.
