FNB - Payment Honouring Fee - #Item Paid NO Items ON

So, I have an FNB Premier Account. This morning, R600 was deducted. I decided to check my transaction history and there was a transaction that says: #Item Paid NO5 Items ON.

I went into the transaction and it says "#Item Paid No Funds. Reference is 5 items".

Thinking back, I was at a bar and I actually did make 5 card payments and they were deducted 2 days later. This consisted of small amounts between R60 and R250, with a total of about R500. I then spoke to my "Team of bankers", and these 5 transactions each cost R120, amounting to R600. This account of mine has no overdraft, and for such accounts, the card should decline if there are no funds.

After checking the pricing guide, I found that there is a R120 fee for "Payment Honouring Fee", which basically means, "A service fee is charged for each payment honoured where there is not enough money in your transactional account".

This doesn't make sense as there was money in the account at the time of purchase. After all, my card would be declined of there was no money in the account.

I have no energy to fight this. I just want to warn other FNB account holders of this *****/suspicious stunt. FNB is a good bank, but I'm seeing more and more people complaining about it.
