FNB Pay and clear is plain legal theft

Today I did a "pay and clear" payment for R47.50 to a Capitec account and it was only available after more than an hour. Then I did a normal payment to the same Capitec account and it was available after +- 5 hours. Is it that with a normal payment, unlike fnb, Capitec doesn't hold on to peoples money for a day or 2 before it's made available? Previously I made immediate payments for only R10 from Capitec to an fnb account and it is instantly available. When I did a normal payment from Capitec to fnb, it took more than a day to clear in the fnb account. Seeming to me that fnb first hold onto the money to enrich themselves at the cost of their clients? And why is the limit for pay and clear only R35000 per day? And why are we only allowed to make it from the primary account?

Regret and apologies is not necessary. Just stop charging this ridiculous amount and pay back mine which was unnecessarily charged. And update your policies and disclaimers etc. with the actual time transactions will take. If your systems can do a normal transaction in 5 then it should always go through the same day, and there will be no need for the "pay and clear" option.
