FNB passing the BuckPayment refference
On Monday the 26 March 2018, 14:04:20 I accidentally paid the amount of R1750.00 from my FNB account into a closed account of my son EJ Prins registered as a beneficiary, via internet banking. My daughter-in-law age 29 had passed away the Sunday 25 March 2018. I immediately realised my mistake and drove straight to FNB in Langebaan to request a reversal of the payment. I was assisted by Rosche who phoned their call-centre and she confirmed that the money will be reversed within 24 hours. The following day after 24 hours I went back to the bank where Rosche assisted me again. The call centre advised her that it takes 24 hours from the closed account and 24 hours (48hours) to reflect back on to my account. Still no reversal showed on my statement. I visited the bank 6 times to find out what the problem was to no avail. Easter weekend passed and still the money did not show. On Tuesday 3 April I went back to FNB, where another clerk assisted me. Spending +/- half an hour or more with her phoning the call centre , she informed me the money was paid into Capitec Bank and they will reverse it and it will take 6 to 8 working days. This morning 5 April I phoned Capitec Bank,5 phone calls later, they confirmed the money is lying in a closed account, we need to request a reversal which will take a day or two, yet again. I have to drive to Vredenburg 20 km and back to request it at the bank. I am a pensionar and wish my money to be transferred back into my bank account from a closed account as soon as possible, with out all the additional expenses of travelling and phoning back and forth.
