FNB over charges clients

FNB advertises a Money Maximiser account which pays a higher interest rate for savings above R100 000. When I made third party payments form this account high fees were charged which was unusual as from a normal account no fees are charged for third party payments. No mention is made on their website of these fees as it only states: "Third-party payments: Payments to third parties are allowed (based on availability of funds)." If they want to charge fees for these payments it should be made clear on their website. FNB refused to reverse these charges which is not acceptable.

FNB should also update their telephone contact with customers as it took 3 minutes on the phone before I could talk to a human being. Other banks recognises one's telephone number and use that for identification purposes which saves time and costs on the telephone when making enquiries.

I also asked that a payment to a ghost Internet sales website be reversed as I did not get the item that I ordered. To this request FNB responded well.
