FNB once again refuses assistance to the hearing impaired

FNB has no service option for the hearing impaired. One has to either call them by telephone, or drive (in my case more than 400 Km) to the nearest branch. Their " chat service is a mockery. You start out by being " number 21" on the list and when eventually you get to the top and there is no response for up to five minutes at a time, the "consultant" tells me " You are not the only person I am trying to help. You have to wait." I sent an email to FNB Premier Banking (another total misnomer) asking for assistance, explaining that I am hearing disabled and cannot communicate by telephone. After waiting several days for a reply, they instructed me to call a telephone number if I wanted to be helped! Am I the only deaf person with an account at FNB? The Human Rights Commission has already ruled it discriminatory to refuse assistance the the hearing impaired by means other than the telephone. This does not seem to bother FNB in the least.
