FNB offline
Last Friday the 01/12/2017 my wife and kids went to our local supermarket to do our monthly crockery shopping. When she wanted to pay at the till point with my cheque account card the transaction didn't want to go through. She tried 3 times. So wile she felt embarrassed and while other people were waiting impatiently behind her in the que , she then called me to ask what the problem may be. I told her to go to our local FNB branch at Fochville to find out what is going on. So she had to abandon the two trolleys of crockery's to go to FNB. They then told her that the whole of FNB in SA is offline but we can till withdraw money from the ATM. So she did go to the ATM and found a long que of people waiting to also withdraw money as they are also experiencing the same problem and had to withdraw money for most probably the same reason. So she had to stand for about 30 minutes before she ended up at the ATM to withdraw money. So after all this trauma she could finally pay for our crockery's. But know the big question is, what is FNB going to do about this ? We were ****** from our time and we were embarrassed and angry by all this. And why the hell must i pay R8.50 for each failed transaction while we were trying the card ??? Which totaled at R25.50 Please dont pass the buck this time or say sorry !!! Give me a proper answer!!!
