FNB offers a good experience only to take it away once you are a customer

The initial switch to FNB seemed easy, but my friends do not make this mistake. FNB does not make the switching process easy nor do they deliver on any promises made initially.

I initially switched on April 12th 2019. The initial account setup was easy with all my details provided and signing off that I want all my debit orders switched etc and them providing me with the credit card account that I wanted and for value x.

Ok now we get to where FNB started it's miserable customer service.

Firstly since the 12th to the end of the month they did not switch any of my debit orders. I called all the companies who I had debit orders with and they still had my own details so of course I needed to switch all my own debit orders and which means some debit orders missed because they were already submitted for my old account.

Then the credit card account. I provided FNB with a stamped 3 month bank statement in branch and 3 payslips and they offered me a credit card with a credit balance of x which I could then decide to split between straight and budget.

They called me a week later and said they can now only offer me 1/3 of the initial price as there was a "salary discrepancy"? The amount stated on my payslips were shown on the bank statements to be the amount which is deposited into my account each and every month so how is there a discrepancy?

FNB has **** about their service, offered a package to get me to switch and when I signed for the account a week later pulled the offer back and now they do not get back to me and do not respond. Do not deliver on follow ups.

I am very disappointed and urge anyone who is thinking of switching to FNB. Don't
