FNB not the best bank to have an account with

I am starting to regret opening a bank account with FNB. The only reason I thought it was practical was to be able to use PayPal to its fullest but what drama I've been having... I opened my Gold Cheque account with no issues. 5 stars to the consultant at OR Tambo International FNB branch... Then the trouble started. Firstly having to go to an ATM to activate my banking profile. The ATM's were all offline, obviously a technical error on FNB's side which was resolved, but still an irritation having to drive around. Once this was sorted out, I phoned PayPal via FNB only to be told there were no funds in my account for them to pay out my PayPal money... I freaked out as I had deposited more than enough money directly into my account at the FNB ATM when I opened the account. They advised me to call FNB customer services. 13 phone calls later and endlessly holding on for up to 25 minutes at a time and it turns out they charged me for a replacement card which I never asked for! The consultant on Friday promised me that the team leader on duty would call me back so I could log a complaint against whoever processed this on my account as the system doesn't just do it by itself. its Monday. Still no phone call and still no reversal as it takes 24 to 48 working hours... PayPal money paid in 23 October FNB account opened 27 October Still cant access money 4 November Once I get the money out I'm closing my FNB account. What a waste of time and petrol!!! My Recommendation: OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH CAPITEC - I HAVE NEVER HAD 1 MINUTES TROUBLE WITH THEM!!!
