FNB not so helpful
I have the most unpleasant experience as a new client at FNB.
I opened a new account online in August and I only went into the branch Monday 19 Sep. Consultant advised there are documents still missing which were sent to them on the 20th. I went into the branch again but their system was slow so I emailed documents and left to await update.
I called on the same day and I was informed the account was active. The very same day a client made payment into the and I received notification.
The next day 21st I try and transact via app, I don’t have app credentials because that wasn’t set up when I went in. FYI I am new to FNB unfami**** with their services.
I got to the atm to my surprise the account is frozen. I walk in to the branch at 10am and I inform there is a hold on the account which usually takes 1-3 working days to lift.
Today is Friday the 23rd the hold is still not lifted despite being told they would escalate query. Today is day 3 escalated or not!
ABSA May have ridiculous bank charges but at this rate I may not even move because o am finding myself unable to deliver to my clients because of a hold that I don’t even understand why when it is queried it’s immediately lifted.
Thuli at the Pinetown was very helpful but nah this is truly leaving a bitter taste in my mouth! I could write to much on my overall experience from walking in at the Pavilion Branch on Monday which honestly wasn’t a great 1st impression as much as the ladies did extend themselves.
