FNB Not Removing Judgement from Credit Bureau
FNB is being no help in getting a judgement removed from my name at the credit bureau. They got the judgement against me for an account that formed part of sequestration proceedings. I have now got a rehabilitation order, and found out about the judgement after getting my credit report.
I went to a FNB branch for assistance, but they gave me a number for a call center. The call center is sending me from one department to the next without any resolution. So far, the following numbers have not helped: *** (Collections - can't help) ***, told to choose option 3 - this number just plays music and never answers. I've listened to it for more than an hour. *** (Debt review) - can't help *** (Debt review said this is the number for sequestrations - number does not exist)
Went back to the branch, and the consultant said they have no idea who to even contact. Told me to call the business desk, who said they can't help, and referred me to the debt review department, who already said they don't deal with this.
Who do we need to contact to sort this out?
After making this complaint on 24 March, I eventually received an email from the relevant department on 25 March. I then sent them the relevant documentation and received a response stating that the credit bureaus have been updated and will show within 24 days.
However, on 31 March, I received an email from the insolvency department saying that I first need to pay the debt before they will remove the judgment from the credit bureaus, included details for their lawyers, and closed the complaint. Closed without resolution!
I immediately rep**** to the person from FNB, who has not rep**** to date. I also contacted the lawyers listed in the email (same ones that filed the judgment), who then asked for all my documentation, which I sent to them on the same day. They said it will be sent to FNB for feedback before they can take further action.
Still, nothing has been done. Not even FNB's lawyers can get anything from FNB. We have followed up repeatedly without any progress. The only feedback we get from the lawyers is that they are waiting for a response from FNB. It's now been 2 weeks without any resolution.
