FNB NOT INTERESTED IN BUSINESS

I made an appointment to see Willowbridge on Friday 3 July 2020. I wanted to arrange for financing of a bond or alternatively find out more about a bank guarantee. The person I was appointed to, had to phone the home loan department for information and I was told that it might take between 7 to 14 days. I did not get the idea that the bank was interested in doing home loans. I asked the gentleman to cancel my request and focus on a bank guarantee. At that stage, a lady started assisting him (he might have been in training, as he could not assist me with anything, but was very helpful, friendly and professional). She, however, told him what to do. He opened my profile and all my accounts were open on the screen. I asked her about a bank guarantee. She asked me why do I not pay the money over to the attorneys? I said because they are a bank, and I do business with FNB and would prefer to invest the money in the bank rather than giving it to attorneys for a better interest rate. She looked at the screen, made a derogatory remark that I only have R490 000 in my account, she can only give me a guarantee for that. (The property I intended to buy, was for R1 695 000.00) She just wanted me to go away. I was so shocked, I said to her I think it is time for me to change banks with that kind of attitude. She had no interest whatsoever in how I wanted to pay the property, where the money was, she just send me away to bank with the attorney! I transferred all the money into my FNB account and then out to the attorneys, and this morning, they ask me at which bank I would like to invest, at a cost to themselves of 0.5% interest! So my bank chase me away to give my money to a lawyer which I have to pay to take the money back to the bank? I am totally disgusted
