FNB NOT HONOURING STOPPED DEBIT ORDERS & CHARGE FEES FOR THEIR OWN ERROR

As we all know Covid 19 hit us last year resulting in lockdown and certain businesses losing income. My wife's business was one of these resulting in her not being able to pay loans and credit card. FNB life approved her claim and started paying these directly into the various accounts. In spite of this the loans and credit card departments continued to put their debit orders through on her account resulting in unpaid debit order fees being charged. She contacted FNB on 24th October 2020 and stopped all debit orders from going through on her bank account and received emails confirming the stopping of the debit orders. This meant that no further debit orders would be allowed to go through. November 2020 FNB once again put all the debit orders though and charged the failed debit order fee. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO HAPPEN AS IT IS AN ERROR FROM FNB AND ALL THE SUBESQUENT FEES CHARGED FOR THIS UP TO JANUARY 2021 MUST BE REVERSED. WHY ARE THEY STILL PUTTING DEBIT ORDERS THROUGH WHEN THE ACCOUNTS ARE BEING PAID BY THE INSURANCE EVERY MONTH. THERE IS NO NEED FOR THE DEBIT ORDER. SHE CONTACTED THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS WHO INFORMED HER THE DEBIT ORDERS CANNOT BE STOPPED. THIS MESS NEEDS TO BE SORTED OUT AS A MATTER OF URGENCY AND ALL FAILED DEBIT ORDER FEES MUST BE REFUNDED AND THE DEBIT ORDERS CANCELLED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.
