FNB not honouring Istore favourable Interest advert

Heavily disappointed to say the least.

Saw an advert on Istore website and got confirmation in store that if I purchase the iphone 17 using my qualifying premier credit card, I get a great interest rate at prime once FNB automatically moves the transaction over to a budget facility a fee days after purchase and applies the advertised interest rate to the trasnaction.

We’re two weeks in and I kid you not, I must have spoken to 20 different people at fnb to confirm my interest rate and that the transaction has been moved to budget as advertised. Long story short, no one can confirm this and I keep getting sent from pillar to post when they make this transaction seem so simple in the adverti*****t. At one stage I even got told that the transaction has been moved to my budget facility at my personalised interest rate. What?

Due to my frustration, I then told the last agent to move the transaction back to straight, so that I can pay for the phone. That way they’ll charge me no interest because the phone is the only thing I bought on my credit card.

I got the premier account last year when I got my qualification. I was approached by Investec at our firm and I think this is my sign to move over, and take my partner with her linked account with. I will also be moving my vehicle finance and taking my home loan elsewhere etc.

I pay a premium monthly. The least I expect is service. I’m sorry FNB, this is a simple issue and what is set out above, is not service. Im done.
