FNB not caring for the senior citizens (pensioners) of South Africa
I had a terrible experience and still not resolved with FNB.
My dad which is 73 years of age switched from ABSA to FNB, thus he is now a pensioner with limited funds for retirement to his disposal. FNB informed me and my dad that the pensioners account will remain at R 40-00 per month, just to find after two cash withdrawals of R 1600-00 each they charged a pensioner an additional service fee of R30.40
How can a bank charge a pensioner on a pensioners account with limited funds these kind of service charges for cash withdrawals? That is ridiculous and I would strongly discourage elder people from opening FNB accounts if this case is not resolved and funds returned to the elderly. FNB should be ashamed of themselves.
I contacted the FNB branch manager in Meyerton, I have recently tried emailing her and no response after commitment to resolve this with no outcome or answer.
