FNB Not at all helpful on loan process - highly frustrated highly disappointed client
I was shock to come across a post on hellopeter relating to the same experience I have endured lately with FNB. This is what has prompt me to write this review.
I have been a client with fnb for many years now. And my income and expenses should be more visible to them than anyone else.
I have been a gold cheque account holder from the time I opened my account until earlier this year whereby I was offered to go on to the premier account which in essense supposed to have more benefits than the previous.
I had been on an endless rollercoaster the past month trying to get assistance from someone or anyone at fnb. I was pre-approved twice in this year for a personal loan but when I decided to apply it declined. I them contacted fnb and after much hassle and numerous calls made a consultant contacted me and again done a complete application telephonically with me. He advised I was preapproved as well. However after a day I was again sent a SMS saying my application was unsuccessful.
I was shock, appalled and really frustrated.
I have been on calls after calls and for some reason I still get a declined or unsuccessful message after application. I have also been preapproved which reflects on my app aswell yet for some reason it comes out as unsuccessful and this is ever since I became a premier account holder that I see no benefits at all.
I have had people also say to me that another bank would be the way to go why stay loyal to a bank that merely declines you without even looking at the facts that you can surely afford the repayments etc.
Very disappointed indeed! I can surely relate to your sentiments raised in Mr Gavins review as here I find myself going through the very same thing
There seems to surely be a fault within their verification or approval process. Clients no longer see benefits with banks like this when other banks are being more accommodating than their own banking institution
