FNB - Not a helpful bank afterall!

Beyond disappointed in FNB at this point.

Three debits in access of R200 went off my account on the 15th of April. A day after I tried to reverse these debits via the app, the chat option and the number on the back of my card. All three options unsuccessful. The app states that you need to make use of the Covid-19 relief. The chat option was even more useless as the agent simply directed to use the app to reverse the debits and then ended the chat before I could even reply to explain what the app states. Something that the agent should anyway know. The call centre let's you listen to this long prerecorded message and when you select the debit order reversal option it just says it is unavailable. I had to call in 2 more times, wasting airtime by having to listen to this long message again and only by the third call the call centre agent advises that they cannot reverse debits amd that I need to contact the company self to get the funds back. Two weeks later, premier banking fees along with unpaid transactions leave my account in a minus that will just grow. How on earth are we to survive during this period when we cannot even access our own money and the bank you trust is no assistance at all?!

So many have advised over the years to switch to a different bank and I loyally stuck with FNB. Every month FNB loyally takes their cut but yey when clients go through a rough patch there is no help from the same FNB. I truly regret my loyalty now.

What a waste of time to even call the Customer Resolution Centre and Premiere Suite customer care line.
Having to be put on hold 4 times in excess of 15mins each, get told by one consultant "please hold, you are going through" only for her to end the damn call and the last one finally saying it's now 13:00 and that department is unfortunately closed whilst I have been calling and on hold for an hour.
Infuriating to say the least and still not any closer to resolving the problem.
