FNB no show
I am an client of First National Bank. The Bank, through its online service packages, encourage us, its clients, to make use of its array of online product offerings - one such is the vehicle license renewal offering known as the Nav Car facility.
This is an upfront payment facility promising both vehicle licence renewal as well as delivery thereof.
I pursued the offer and share with you my disappointing but concerning experience.
Once my electronic online payment and required documents were submitted, I received a prompt reply acknowledging receipt of payment and ownership dovuments but was notified that a recent utility bill statement, citing my home address, was still needed.
I was, via sms, issued with a reference number and a cell phone number to which I can reply to should a consultant not contact me within 24-48 hours.
I wish for FNB to note the following:
1. On dialing the cellphone number referred to earlier and provided to me through the FNB sms system, the automated reply says that this number does not exist. 2. It is today the 30th of December and no consultant from either FNB or its service provider has called me as yet, this is 4 days later. 3. Whether the "way it works" "policy" as described on the Nav Car APP is Consumer Act compliant- as the terms make no provision for the option of a refund or a cancellation should the client, after the fact, decide to cancel an application for whatever reason - as I now realise that there might well be good reason for cancellation since my attempt to enquire about the progress of my application, was met by an automated voice reply stating that the number that I've dialed, does not exist - a number forwarded to me by the FNB sms system.
Concerned.
